Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien

France - Baroque music

With his accomplice Dominique Paris and two percussionists, François Lazarevitch makes us rediscover the bagpipe which gave birth(rise) to many of the other instruments: the French baroque bagpipe.

Four artists are livened up by a common passion of the music to be danced. The precision and the energy of their sets get married, making of their meeting a " quartet of shock " for the uncluttered and warm sound. The charm of the French baroque bagpipe showed for a long time its ability.

The magic will be there.

Valentin Clastrier

Talk with an atypical hurdy-gurdy player

When he appears in 1982 on the stage of the " Festival of Saint-Chartier ", Valentin Clastrier (been born in 1947) leaves nobody indifferent: real "extraterrestrial" of the hurdy-gurdy with wheel, he amazes in the time by the advances that he proposes, whether it is on the musical plan, at the level of the instrumental technique, or still as for the innovations on his instrument.

Many years later, Valentin Clastrier returns to us, taken on an aura a career recognized in the circles of the European jazz, or the theme music. He will perform in the continuous sound on 2015, with " A fond! ", gathering creation three viellistes contemporaries of exception (Gilles Chabenat, Romain Baudoin and himself) accompanied with percussions.

Le son continu wish to offer to Valentin Clastrier the opportunity to tell, of its childhood in Célestin Freinet's school, in its musician's career on stage (guide of Jacques Brel, Ricet Barrier), then in his discovery of the hurdy-gurdy with wheel. His relation favored with several stringed-instrument makers (Maxime Boireaud, Denis Siorat, Wolfgang Weichselbaumer) who marked out his career will be questioned, so much the musical desires for this requiring artist allowed the elaboration of numerous devices from now on proposed on the instruments of "man in the street"...
